Day 4 is over. It was the day I was most concerned about when we started the week - the day we were to assist with a community picnic for about 200 people immediately following VBS. The logistics were a little daunting to me. But, we pulled it off and even had some food left over. Parents came, congregation members came and the kids did a little performance after the food.
Today I was in charge of craft. We made boats since today's lesson was about Paul being shipwrecked. It was a little harder for the kids than I expected and we had a lot of kids, but overall it was pretty successful.
I have a couple of kids who tend to come to me on a regular basis wanting to sit in my lap or be carried and I must admit that is a nice feeling! I think it will be hard to say goodbye to these little ones after tomorrow. It is just flying by.
